Before setting foot to Extreme Adventures

Before setting foot to Extreme Adventures

I have always believed that we are here in this life to enjoy the beautiful creations of our creator. My best friend once told me that there is no other person who is passionate about living and experiencing life than me, and I believe her. I have never stopped from discovering the magnificent beauty of the Philippine Island.

Aside from exploring the beauty that nature has to offer, I have also learned to love and experience extreme adventures first hand. But wait, before we jump to such extreme activities, let us bare in mind the risk that it takes. That's why it is best to get a life insurance for emergency and for the future.

It is best to have a universal insurance while we are still young. Especially at this age, that we are very impulsive to the adventures that is set in front of us. I have bought an insurance
after I got work, knowing that it's cheaper when you bought it at a younger age and at the same time, accidents do come unannounced. I don't mind buying another best rate insurance because I know it will be used when I need it the most.

It gives me peace of mind every time I travel or if I engage myself to such extreme sports.

Suislide at Danao, Bohol

Suislide at Danao, Bohol

Here's another trip to the zipline at Danao, Bohol. And they call it suislide since you'll be traveling in between mountains, with the river and trees below, most people would find this really scary.

But for those brave at heart, its really worth the ride. When we were there we actually met this physically disabled person who'd like to experience the ride, at first the staff were hesitant because of his condition, but he was really determined and after a few minutes of debate he was allowed to ride.

The experience is really something that we'll treasured in our lifetime and any disabilities is not enough to stop us from getting this.

The suislide cost Php 350, I think. Its cheaper if its included in a package together with the other extreme activities.

This is the best way to experience the scenic view of Danao, Bohol in a thrill ride.

Plunge: Conquer Your Fear

Plunge: Conquer Your Fear

I am someone who used to be afraid of heights, but I've slowly faced my fears every passing year by doing something extreme that involves height. And for this year its taking a Plunge. Its the most extreme activity offered in Danao Adventure Park.

Plunge, its something like bungee jumping but you'll be dropped and then swinged from the top. Having conquered my fear of heights, I wasn't scared when I put on my safety gears. But it was during my turn to be on the hanging board, having seen the view below and the idea that it was my time to jump, that scared me. It made my knees weak. And then I was hanging upside down, head first. There's no way of turning back.Anyway, this is what I'm here for so rock on!

"Bomb's away!" this was what I heard before I was release and allowed to drop freely. For 2 seconds I was numb. Good thing I got back to my senses, release my feet from the rope and I was swinging. I had the farthest swing among the group because I was able to release my feet earlier making me swing freely. The swinging was so relaxing, you'll forget your fears and enjoy the scenic view from where you are. I could feel the wind making noises as I swing in the air. It seems I've awaken from a beautiful dream, I was surrounded by green trees, blue skies, and the river below. Glad I didn't let my fears stop me from enjoying this beautiful experience.

For those who are courageous enough, go ahead and experience the thrill. You're not paying for the ride you're paying for the experience.. And I'm glad I did!

Getting ready for summer

Getting ready for Summer

It's February and I'm starting to feel the summer heat! Another busy time for me as I plot my summer get-away. No excuses to stay at home and keeping a fair skin tone because its time to get some tan!

Here are some reminders before we go out and enjoy the summer sun:

1. Never leave the house without a sunblock. Just a misconception about sunblocks, it doesn't keep your fair skin tone, but it just protects you from the UV rays, that is harmful. But anyway, I really don't care much about being fair skinned in the first place, because TAN is in! :D

2. Drink lots of water. Avoid dehydration and its one way of keeping our skin healthy.

3. Wear your sunglasses. It protects you from the sun's harmful rays and at the same time lessen crow's feet or wrinkles near the eyes. (Remember, when its to bright we tend to close our eyes, causing some wrinkles in the eyes, and doing this frequently causes crow's feet at an early age)

4. Loose clothing. Nobody wants to feel uncomfortable in a very classy cloth. So leave those ill fitting clothes and wear clothes that feel comfortable, short short, spaghetti straps and tube tops are alright as long as you don't look slutty...

5. Slippers. Or if you are in a white sand beach, barefoot. Its comfortable, and having the sand underneath those tired feet can exfoliate and gets rid of those dead skin.

6. A Camera. How else can you share and keep those memories of a great summer get-away than taking a picture of it! Glad that I just got my new camera just in time for summer.... :D

Have fun under the sun!

A Mountain Resort

A Mountain Resort

Hidden Paradise Resort, is a secluded mountain resort found in San Fernando town, south of Cebu. With less than an hour travel from Cebu South Bus Terminal. It takes you away from the busy city life, and even from your phones. It is so isolated that not even one network provider has signal.

The view is so refreshing, everything was surrounded with greens and the 3 layer pool is a plus factor. I can stay there the whole day and even during night in the pool and just swim (I so love the many choices of swimming pool). They also have other activities like rappelling and zipline. Though there zipline is really not that far, and the saddest part is that, I wasn't able to try it due to time constrain. :(

There rates are reasonable and very affordable. There are lots of rooms available, if you want to save, there are dorm type rooms which is nice, very spacious and it has a bathroom. The execute rooms were also very comfortable, its actually where the guys were housed.

The food is not that great but you can always bring some foods from the outside since they won't have corkage fee. If given the time, yes I would love to go there sometime together with my husband, since it was a company activity and I would love to explore the place more..

A trip to the Zipline

A trip to the Zipline

On top of one of Busay's hills is Cebu's landscape viewed riding a zipline. For adventure lover's its something that's worth a try and for those who are not comfortable with heights or are afraid of the challenge, its time to face your fears and experience some adrenaline rush.

For only 100 pesos you'll get to experience approximately 1 minute of sliding back and forth. Getting on the zipline would give you a chance to see the view at 360 degrees, from the Mactan Chanel and Mactan Island, to the City, and to the surrounding mountains of Busay and Balamban. Feeling the wind on your face and the speed of your guided drop, amazing!

Getting there is not that tricky, its right after La Tegola - Busay and after the road going to the famous Tops. If you're coming from Cebu, its on the right side. Or if you don't have a private transportation then you can chose to ride a motorcycle or they can pick you at JY for a certain cost, not that expensive compare to your safety riding in the motorcycle.

So don't just sit there, go out, face your fears and enjoy life!
